John Floe, serves as Olivehurst Public Utility District Board of Director since January 2014.  John provides leadership to our Executive Director, Managers and Staff that provide our community with water, sewer, and park and fire department services to approximately 20,000 residents in the communities of Olivehurst and Plumas Lake in south Yuba County. The District also provides fire department and street light services for the Olivehurst Community. Board members are elected to serve four year terms and key responsibilities of the board include: Set overall District policy, direction, and provide oversight of $5.6 million annual budget utilizing 50 staff and providing services for 20,000 residents.

John is a Program Manager Community Services - Sutter Public Health & Bi-County Behavioral Health since 2006. Has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and a “Leadership Fellow” from Sierra Health Foundation, University of San Francisco and UC Davis with an emphasis in Health Care Leadership.  John has been in prevention for 30 years though local church, non-profits and in the government sector.  John is performing professional level functions involving the design, implementation and coordination of specialized components of behavioral health programs focusing building capacity in our community primarily on prevention modalities.  He is leading a team of professionals that provide education, training, early intervention programs that focus on Prevention and Early Intervention of behavioral health and substance abuse, Public Health Educators and Homeless Resources Team. California Certified Prevention Specialist.

John served in the United States Air Force for 24 years retired in 2004 is a resident of Olivehurst since retiring.  He married Sharon (Royer) in 1986 of Marysville, he has a son, and grandson.
